Discussion page for tasks that can be automated with PyWikiBot.

Template:Project/Migration (completed)

This is quite a huge tasks. I am preparing a script for all replacements. HTML tags have to be replaced with proper Wiki-Templates. This requires testing and might take some time before it is ready for productive use, but I hate doing all this repetetive editing manually. --Matt 15:50, 19 April 2007 (CEST)

The run is completed and worked fine. It was easier than I first thought as most pages used always the same html tags. I noticed some smaller issues that might be tasks for the next run: Minor Corrections --Matt 10:03, 21 April 2007 (CEST)

Template:Project fixes (completed)

We already found out that = in sourceforge urls can break the {{Maintenance_History}}. A workaround is replacing = in urls with #061; while preserving the = used for templates. --Matt 10:03, 30 April 2007 (CEST)

Replace "Screenshot1-3" with "Screenshot" because the template has changed to use only one screenshot parameter. --Matt 10:03, 30 April 2007 (CEST)

The run is completed. It had to be postponed because of wiki-spam. Cleaning up the wiki was very annyoing and time-consuming. Spam cleanup needs to be automated. --Matt 16:10, 1 May 2007 (CEST)

Spam Cleanup (idea)

Create something like SpamBlacklist/cleanup.php that automatically reverts edits containing spamdexing links. This needs to access an updated SpamBlacklist (textfile or protected wiki page). It has to revert to the latest clean revision, but rollback is not yet implented in pywikipedia framework. --Matt 16:47, 30 April 2007 (CEST)
