- The last release has been at February 23, 2004 and the project seems to be dead. The udftools utility bundle contains a non-functional udffsck. On Linux, users of DVD-RAM media need well working tools to create and maintain udf filesystems. Currently only udf filesystems can be created but not be repaired due to a working udffsck tool. Unfortunately, the ext2/3 filesystem family is not very suitable for DVD-RAM media: it works, but it significantly lowers the life time of the media. --Pseelig 02:56, 21 November 2006 (CET)
