Gnome Commander is a fast and powerful graphical file manager for the GNOME desktop environment. It has a "two-pane" interface in the tradition of Norton and Midnight Commander. The former main developer Marcus Bjurman started this project and made it to a very good filemanager that can be compared to Directory Opus or Total Commander (former windows commander). It has all the important features and is quite bug free and "production stable".

• This project is now maintained by Piotr Eljasiak, a former co-developer to the former maintainer who started this project. This new interest came about after new developer Asaf Gordon joined and made some new features and patches.
