Project Details

GenChemLab is an OpenGL-based application intended to simulate several common general chemistry exercises. It is meant to be used to help students prepare for actual lab experience. It could also be used in cases where laboratory facilites are not accessible, for instance in K-12 schools or home schooling.
At present, supported experiments include titration, calorimetry, freezing point depression, vapor pressure, and spectrophotometry.

Comments:
- GenChemLab would certainly benefit from maintenance and publicity, as there was considerable interest from high school teachers and educational freeware developers early in development. I may be able to maintain the project again sometime in the future -- anticipate finishing this postdoc and moving back to an academic job, but probably not until mid-2007. You are welcome to list GenChemLab, and hopefully I will be able to maintain it again if needed, or join the new development team in the future. --Bryan Herger
